Encode plain text to Base64 or decode Base64 back to text. Handles UTF-8 characters. Runs entirely in your browser - no data is sent anywhere.
Base64 is an encoding scheme that converts binary data into a set of 64 printable ASCII characters: A - Z, a - z, 0-9, +, and /.
It is used to safely transmit binary data over channels designed to handle only text, such as email systems and URLs.
Every 3 bytes of input produce 4 Base64 characters, so encoded output is approximately 33% larger than the original data.
