What is a Graph Paper Generator?

A graph paper generator lets you create precisely spaced printable grid paper in your browser. Instead of searching for fixed templates or buying pads of paper, you control every detail - grid size, line thickness, colors, major/minor gridlines, margins, and even the paper size and orientation.

This tool supports three grid types: a standard square grid (with optional bold major lines), a dot grid popular for bullet journaling, and an isometric grid for 3D sketches and technical drawing.

How to use it

  1. Pick a quick preset or start from scratch.
  2. Choose your page size, orientation, and background color.
  3. Select a grid type (square, dot, or isometric) and adjust the size and colors.
  4. For square grids, enable major gridlines to group squares into larger blocks.
  5. Set your margins and optionally add an axes cross or a header.
  6. Click Generate & Download PDF for a print-ready file, or Download PNG for an image.

No. All rendering is done locally in your browser using the HTML Canvas API. Nothing is transmitted.
Minor lines form the small squares (e.g. every 5 mm). Major lines appear every N minor squares (e.g. every 5 minor = every 25 mm) and are drawn thicker and darker, grouping cells into larger blocks - the classic engineering paper look.
