Statistics Calculator

Enter a list of numbers (comma or space-separated) to calculate mean, median, mode, range, variance, and standard deviation.

Sorted Values

Formulas

Mean = Σx / n
Median = middle value of sorted data (or average of two middle values)
Mode = value(s) that appear most frequently
Population Variance (σ²) = Σ(x − μ)² / n
Sample Variance (s²) = Σ(x − x̄)² / (n − 1) - uses Bessel's correction
Standard Deviation = √Variance

Population vs. Sample

Use population std dev (σ) when your data is the entire population. Use sample std dev (s) when your data is a subset - it corrects for bias using n−1 (Bessel's correction).
